Hi, there! I’m Katie Q. and I ‘m a video journalist/host and a food enthusiast. I think there is a story to be told everywhere. I think food connects people.
I post a new video every week on my YouTube and Facebook channels, QKatie, which I launched in 2014. I love traveling, making food, eating food, and sharing those passions.
I’m @qkatie on Instagram if you want to see some sweet pics.
I’m frequently appear on NBC’s TODAY show and am a TODAY Tastemaker. I’ve been featured on The Meredith Vieira Show and The Food Network. I’m partnered with Tastemade and do travel and food series for them.
A bit about how I got here: After graduating from college in Ohio, I lept into the media industry as an NBC Page, then found my video groove by producing/shooting/editing videos for the TODAY show’s website, TODAY.com. I wrote for the James Beard award-winning food website, Serious Eats, and was video host for the video news company NowThis. (If you want to hear more about how I found my way to food journalism, check out my interview on the podcast The Food Seen.)
My slogan is #keepitquirky because I love experimenting in the kitchen and, further, I think life is more fun if you don’t take yourself too seriously.
Additional random facts: I’ve been a music video heroine (and lip-syncer), a culinary student at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, I play guitar and I love hiking.
